Norwalk police logged 237 calls for service on Friday, October 9
The Norwalk Police Department's daily press log records 237 calls for service received on Friday, October 9, 2026. Traffic-related work made up the largest share of the day: selective enforcement accounted for 40 calls, with three more logged as selective enforcement-traffic and two as selective enforcement-walking, and motor vehicle violations added another 31. The rest of the log was spread widely across routine categories, among them follow-ups, police information calls, school resource officer activity, community outreach and behavioral health outreach, parking violations, disturbances, noise complaints and road or weather calls. The locations appearing most often were Geneva Road in the 0-block, with five calls, followed by the 600-block of Connecticut Avenue and the intersection of Dry Hill Road and Westport Avenue with four each.
Among the call types the log singles out, three were motor vehicle accidents coded hot and three were motor vehicle accidents involving evading. One assault call and one structure fire were recorded, along with one motor vehicle burglary report at the 0-block of Little Brook Road.
